I often stumble upon disgraceful tales of the downtrodden—homeless folks and drunks getting beaten down, cursed out, and humiliated. My heart aches for them, sure, but let’s be real—some of these poor bastards dug their own graves with bad choices. What I don’t get is the smug pricks who mock these fallen souls, laughing at their misery without a shred of fear that fate’s cruel boomerang might swing back and leave them rotting on the streets too.

Celebrating friend's birthday at his place. Brought a girl I was courting - not official but I was making moves, hints at a relationship. Everything was good, partying, drinking, guitar by the fire, romantic vibes, she was next to me all evening. Went to the bathroom, came back - she's sitting on my friend's lap. Sat down, she didn't even notice, kept laughing and hugging him. I got up, grabbed my backpack and left. Next day she texts asking why I left, why I'm upset.
